Exploration: Hidden tunnels, secret rooms, and beautiful scenery. Step outside and breathe in the fresh air mixed with sea mist for a moment. You have a real reason to explore your surroundings because levels are linked and you can get to the island in stages. You can see how Dead Cells is similar to the many Metroid games that came before it by letting your character evolve and giving your weapons lasting improvements. But at the end of the day, what matters is YOUR skills as a player. Most roguelites are about getting better all the time, until something that seemed impossible to overcome becomes easy. Combat that is hard to avoid and no safety nets make for an exciting ride every time and an unbeatable ability to play again and again.
