He’s thought of everything! Everything can be modded, and the developer has made it so easy to import and create mods using simple in-game tools and file structures. This wonderful game also comes with an exceptionally easy-to-use Map and Mission Maker. The Map editor allows for overlays to be imported so users can recreate their favorite terrains in game and the Mission Editor is extremely approachable and easy to generate custom content. For a one-man development team I am absolutely blown away with this project. It runs smoothly, looks good, and sounds good. “He thought of everything” is what I keep telling myself, and what the game lacks is easily added.

Combat modifiers based on unit strength, capabilities, and terrain. All combat engagements are clearly depicted with easy-to-follow ratios that allow players to plan their attacks. Realistic logistics systems tied to supply lines and unit consumption of fuel and ammunition – keep players focused on planning movements and attacks. Massive theater-wide scenarios that are easily approachable with some of the unique tools that are included in HoS – to include Long Range Movement Tools (CTRL+Move) and Quick AI turns (AI turn resolution is completed immediately!).
